The journey takes you northwards, ascending the scenic Great Rift Valley, where you will enjoy breathtaking views and a photography stop. Formed millions of years ago, the Great Rift Valley stretches over 5,000 miles from Jordan to Mozambique, making it the largest rift system in Africa.

You will continue to Narok Town, where a brief stop will be made for refueling and an opportunity to purchase snacks at Quickmart Supermarket for the safari. Thereafter, proceed to the Maasai Mara, arriving at your camp/lodge at approximately 1:30 PM. Upon arrival, you will check in, enjoy lunch, and have time to freshen up.

At 3:30 PM, you will head out for an introductory evening game drive. Maasai Mara is Kenya’s most celebrated wildlife reserve, known for its rolling grasslands, acacia-dotted plains, and exceptional wildlife diversity. It is home to the Big Five and forms a natural extension of Tanzania’s Serengeti Plains. The Mara River, which cuts across the reserve, plays a vital role during the Great Wildebeest Migration (July–August), when millions of wildebeests and zebras cross its crocodile-infested waters—one of the world’s greatest natural spectacles and recognized as a Natural Wonder of the World. You will return to the camp/lodge by 6:30 PM for dinner and overnight stay.

After an early breakfast at 6:00 AM, you will set out for a full-day game drive across the vast savannah plains and rolling hills of the Maasai Mara. The reserve is renowned for its abundant plains game, black-maned lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, hippos, gazelles, rhinos, and an impressive variety of birdlife.

You will enjoy a picnic bush lunch at the Mara River Hippo Pools, a prime location for wildlife viewing and migration crossings (seasonal). After lunch, you will continue with game drives as you slowly make your way back to the camp/lodge, arriving at around 3:00 PM.

Later in the afternoon, you will visit a Maasai Village (Manyatta) for an authentic cultural experience. Here, you will learn about Maasai traditions and lifestyle, enjoy traditional dances, witness fire-making techniques, explore Manyatta construction, and learn about indigenous medicinal practices. You will also have the opportunity to interact with the community and browse handcrafted items such as Maasai shukas, necklaces, bangles, and other souvenirs (optional; cash recommended).

The evening will be spent at leisure relaxing at the lodge, enjoying nature walks, photography, or exploring lodge facilities. Dinner, a bonfire evening, and overnight stay will be at the camp/lodge.

After breakfast at 8:00 AM, we will check out from our rooms at 8:30 AM and leave Maasai Mara back to Nairobi with a quick stop over for lunch (self-sponsored). Thereafter you proceed to Nairobi, after arrival necessary drop off shall be done and this shall mark the end of your safari.
