You will be picked up from your residence in Nairobi early in the morning at 6:00 a.m. After a short safari briefing, you will depart for Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary via the Nairobi–Mombasa highway, enjoying scenic countryside views along the way. A brief stop will be made en route for refreshments and washroom use before proceeding to the sanctuary.
Taita Hills is a privately managed sanctuary bordering Tsavo West National Park and is renowned for its lush landscapes, rolling hills, and high concentration of wildlife within a compact area. You will arrive at your camp/lodge in good time for lunch. After check-in and some time to relax, you will head out for an afternoon game drive, where you may spot elephants, lions, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, antelopes, and a wide variety of birdlife. You will later return to the camp/lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
After an early breakfast, you will set out for a Half Day of game viewing within Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary. Thanks to its smaller size and private status, the sanctuary offers excellent wildlife sightings and more relaxed game drives compared to larger national parks. The sanctuary is particularly known for its scenic hills, watering holes, and photographic opportunities.
You will enjoy lunch back at the lodge. will have time to relax at the lodge and enjoy panoramic views of the sanctuary in the afternoon, you may also have the opportunity to enjoy a sunset game drive, offering spectacular views as wildlife gathers near water sources. You will return to your camp/lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.
On your final day, you will enjoy your breakfast and check out from the camp/lodge. You will then depart and proceed back to Nairobi via the Nairobi–Mombasa highway, with a brief stop along the way for a self-sponsored lunch. You will arrive in Nairobi in the late afternoon, marking the end of your unforgettable Tsavo West safari experience.
